Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide legal guidance across multiple disciplines, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for the business. The role emphasizes mentoring, leadership, and clear communication of complex legal concepts to internal stakeholders and clients.

The successful candidate will develop templates, playbooks, and best practices to promote efficient, compliant operations and strong risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of law firm experience handling complex issues independently.
• Advanced ability to interpret laws, regulations and policies.
• Works independently with guidance when needed and provides direction.
• Excellent communication of legal concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop templates, playbooks and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the organization's legal service with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Provide specialist advice on interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex queries.
• Contribute to the formation of key elements of functional strategy through specialist insights.
• Draft policies, procedures and guidelines to meet principles and ensure compliance.
• Act as subject matter expert in technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team.
• Develop stakeholder engagement by identifying and addressing needs to support decisions.
• Develop and maintain templates, playbooks and best practices to support consistent legal review.
