Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional, part of RELX, seeks a Corporate Counsel to provide legal advice across multiple disciplines and partner with business leaders in strategy, policy, and decision-making. You will mentor colleagues and develop templates, playbooks, and best practices to help the business operate efficiently.

Based in Chicago, IL, the role offers a base pay range of $115,400 to $192,200 plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in good standing.
3+ years of law firm experience.
Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and policies.
Ability to explain legal concepts clearly to stakeholders.
Independent work and guidance provision.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver the organization's legal service.
Provide specialist advice on policies and procedures.
Contribute to the formation of functional strategy through specialist insights.
Draft policies, procedures, and guidelines within an area of expertise.
Act as subject matter expert in technology, policy, regulation, or operational management.
Maintain external accreditations and understand current and emerging external regulation.
Develop stakeholder engagement to support communication of information and decisions.
Develop templates, playbooks, and best practices to support consistent legal review.
