Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide expert legal advice across disciplines, mentor teams, and serve as a trusted business partner for strategy and policy decisions.

You will draft policies, interpret regulatory requirements, and build playbooks and templates that help the organization move quickly while staying compliant, with clear communication to stakeholders and clients alike.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of law firm experience handling complex legal and business issues independently.
• Advanced ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication for internal and external audiences.
• Ability to explain legal concepts and risks clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with clients to prioritize business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver the organization's legal service with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Provide specialist advice on policies, procedures, and compliance to resolve complex queries.
• Contribute to strategy through specialist expertise to meet business needs.
• Draft policies, procedures, and guidelines within area of expertise.
• Act as subject matter expert in technology, policy, regulation, or operational management and maintain external accreditations.
• Develop stakeholder engagement by identifying needs and concerns to support communication of decisions.
• Create templates, playbooks, and best practices to support consistent legal review.
