Job summary

Ottimate is seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to build a best-in-class accounting function at a fast-growing, private equity-backed FinTech company. You will own the numbers, run a disciplined close, and keep us audit-ready.

You will partner with FP&A, Payments, and senior leaders to deliver timely financial statements, strengthen controls, and drive automation and AI initiatives across the finance function.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. controller-level roles.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves in a fast-growing PE-backed FinTech.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606; SaaS/FinTech exp.
• Experience managing external audits and due diligence is a plus.
• Hands-on AP leadership; experience with AP automation platforms.
• Experience implementing and optimizing finance systems with AI/automation.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, cash, payroll.
• Run disciplined month-end close and deliver accurate statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow forecasting, intercompany funding.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and exit/diligence readiness.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives to shorten the close.
