Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking part-time chaplains to serve employees and their families across client sites. The role involves weekly site visits, providing confidential pastoral care, and supporting spiritual, emotional, and life-issues during the workday.

The position emphasizes compassionate, interfaith outreach and collaboration with client companies, EDO permission processes, and adherence to ministry guidelines. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work in an interfaith setting and interact with diverse individuals.
• Strong listening and communication skills for client, employee, and family interactions.
• Ability to deliver community presentations and support during stressful circumstances.
• Shows spiritual maturity and aligns with Christian ministry values.
• Capable of diplomacy, customer service, and confidential handling of issues.
• Able to document accurately according to standards and follow policies.
• Proficient with common software tools and able to learn new programs.
• Must have an active state driver’s license and insurance where servicing clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a messenger of faith, mission, and purpose to employees and their families.
• Visit worksites regularly to build trust and relationships.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions and spiritual support.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and providing follow-up support.
• Offer post-termination care and transition assistance.
• Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities when appropriate.
• Distribute literature and resources to assist employees with life issues.
• Represent the ministry to clients and participate in new employee orientation.
