Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Attorney for a fully remote role supporting global operations from anywhere in SA. The position focuses on corporate governance, contract management, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years post-qualification experience in corporate law, with strong experience in international contracts and M&A, able to manage complex projects independently from Randburg, Gauteng or anywhere in SA.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with 6+ years in corporate law and governance.
• Experience drafting and negotiating international commercial contracts.
• Familiar with M&A and corporate restructurings is highly desirable.
• Strong written/verbal communication and autonomous work in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic corporate governance advice, board resolutions, and compliance with company law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate international commercial contracts and NDAs.
• Manage corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions.
• Ensure compliance with international and South African laws and regulations.
• Support policy development and coordinate with external counsel on litigation as needed.
• Assist sales teams with contract terms and provide timely legal opinions.
