Translation Excellence, Inc. is seeking a Court Interpreter to provide real-time interpretation for court proceedings in a remote setting, with options for in-person or hybrid assignments as needed.

Responsibilities include interpreting for witnesses, translating written documents, maintaining confidentiality, and staying current with legal terminology. A Bachelor's degree is required; professional certification is preferred, and at least two years of legal interpretation experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in languages, interpretation, or related field.
• Certification in court interpretation preferred (e.g., NAJIT or similar).
• Minimum of 2 years of professional interpretation in legal/court settings.
• Native or near-native English with proficiency in at least one other language.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret oral statements in real-time during court proceedings.
• Translate written legal documents while preserving original meaning.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and disclose conflicts of interest.
• Stay updated on legal terminology and court procedures.
• Provide culturally sensitive communication for all parties.
• Coordinate and schedule interpretation sessions; document services provided.
