Job summary

Skagit County seeks a Credentialed Court Interpreter to provide accurate Spanish-English interpretation across Superior and Juvenile Courts, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to ethics. The role also coordinates interpreter needs for in-person, remote, and hybrid proceedings and translates official documents for accuracy and legal terminology.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Spanish interpreter by WA AOC required.
• Minimum three years interpreting experience, court setting preferred.
• Experience with legal document translation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and sight translation for court participants.
• Coordinate interpreter needs for in-person, remote, and hybrid proceedings.
• Translate and edit official documents for accuracy and legal terminology.
• Manage interpreter requests, scheduling, records, and communications.
