MOHELA seeks an accomplished Chief Operating Officer, Federal Servicing, to join our senior leadership and guide operations for federal contract servicing. You will lead a large team, drive strategic initiatives, and partner with regulators and customers to ensure service excellence.

With 10+ years in senior management, a Bachelor's (Master's preferred), and strong financial acumen, you will shape policies, manage budgets, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture in Missouri with 30–40%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in student loan servicing or banking.
• Experience developing and implementing compliant operational policies and procedures that drive growth and profitability.
• Must pass the personnel security screening per ED policy within 14 calendar days from offer.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic objectives for MOHELA Federal priorities with measurable goals and outcomes.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures aligned with MOHELA's strategic goals.
• Lead customer relations initiatives and risk management across departments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to student loan servicing.
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for operational departments.
