Actalent in Nashville, TN is seeking a Remote Controls Engineer with travel to support one of the world's largest distribution networks. You will evaluate and enhance automation and control solutions, review PLC code, and develop reusable templates across facilities.

The role requires hands-on Allen-Bradley PLC experience, strong vendor management, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects. Travel is required approximately 25-50% across multiple sites, with a permanent, hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 4+ years of experience in controls engineering or related roles.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems and PLC programming from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality automation and controls projects with internal and external teams.
• Define project priorities, milestones, and deadlines with vendors and managers.
• Review and refine technical documentation, system layouts, and control designs.
• Travel to multiple sites to support project implementation and testing.
