Job summary

Talos Automation is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team outside of Nashville, TN, with a 2-3 hour radius consideration. You will review, design, and develop electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery from scratch, and startup new equipment from box to operation.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens), and is comfortable traveling 25-30% locally. Hybrid or remote options may be available depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with controls/PLC design, programming, and commissioning.
• Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
• Ability to commission systems from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Review, design, and develop electrical control systems and machinery.
• Startup new equipment directly from the box to operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software.

My client, a systems integrator who specializes in the design and manufacture of custom automated solutions for assembly, inspection, and material handling applications across a variety of industries are looking to expand their team.

They work in a number of industries including Automotive, Material Handling, Packaging, Logistics, Warehousing, Medical & Life Sciences and Consumer & Industrial.

They are currently looking for a strong Controls Engineer to join their team who can review, design, and develop all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.

You will need to have the ability to start up new equipment straight out of the box, from start to finish and completely from scratch. You will have a minimum of 4+ years' experience working with Controls/PLC's (Configure / Program and Commission) using Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC's.

Travel is mostly local but at times travel to other states may be required (low travel around 25% - 30%).

There is the possibility of Hybrid or even fully Remote working with this role, depending on experience and location.

My client is based just outside of Nashville, Tennessee and will consider anyone within a 2-3 hour or 200-mile radius.

Compensation and Benefits:

• -Compensation range - $110K - $140K basic + benefits (including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K)
• -Bonus opportunity
• -2/3 weeks vacation time

This is a Full-Time Direct-Hire position.
