Job summary
MCS Automation is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead on-site deployment and troubleshooting of material handling systems across customer sites. You will program and commission Rockwell PLCs (ControlLogix/CompactLogix) and integrate HMI/SCADA solutions to provide real-time operational visibility.
You will read electrical schematics, document as-built changes, and collaborate with electrical/mechanical teams to ensure robust, scalable systems.
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without employer visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Commission and troubleshoot PLC-based material handling and conveyor control systems at customer sites.
- Validate I/O, perform system testing, and fine-tune configurations for optimal performance.
- Commission and optimize Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for precise motor control.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial network switches to ensure robust connectivity.
- Travel extensively for on-site commissioning and system optimization.
