Job summary

System Six in the United States is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee multi-client accounting operations as a remote, senior finance leader. You will manage month-end closes, internal controls, audits, and client-facing financial guidance.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in accounting, CPA background preferred, and strong communication skills to engage owners and audit/tax partners. This exempt role offers base pay and quarterly bonuses with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience, including month-end close and audits.
• GAAP, lease accounting and revenue recognition knowledge.
• Experience leading multi-client finance operations and collaborating with auditors/tax.
• Proven ability to mentor bookkeepers and coach teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the outsourced controller for multiple clients.
• Act as primary client contact with owners, internal teams, and auditors.
• Oversee accounting operations, GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Lead Account Managers; delegate, review work and coach with clarity.
• Own process improvement and software integration across client portfolios.
• Seek ways to improve quality, efficiency and scalability.
