Job summary

RTX, a leader in aerospace and defense, seeks a Principal Specialist, Contracts (Remote) to provide contractual guidance to cross-functional partners and manage government contracts. You will analyze RFPs, develop proposals, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions while working with customers to build strong relationships.

The role requires experience with FAR/DFARS, a university degree, and 5+ years in contracts management.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience in contracts management of U.S. Government contracts under the FAR and/or DFARS
• Experience with sole source and competitive proposals and contract negotiations

Responsibilities

• Provide contractual guidance to cross functional partners to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.
• Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships.
• Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development and negotiation of proposals, contractual agreements, and general contract administration.
• Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly.
• Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise.
• Facilitate and ensure communication and coordination with the internal/external customer program team.
• Adhere to and comply with standardized corporate procedures and compliance documentation.
• Disseminate (“Flowdown”) customer contractual requirements within the organization.
• Act as liaison between internal and external customers and respond to stakeholder inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work autonomously with oversight.
• Contract closeout activities including material and property dispositioning, patent reporting and final invoicing.
