Job summary

SmartConnect Qatar is seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team on a contract basis. You will apply typography and layout expertise to create visually appealing digital and print materials.

Work with editors and designers to format books, brochures, magazines, and marketing materials; proofread for grammar, punctuation, and formatting; manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. This remote contract can be performed from anywhere in Canada, with a competitive salary of $1200

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role.
• Proficiency in typography layout design and industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and grammar rules.

Responsibilities

• Work with editors and designers to typeset documents (books, brochures, magazines, marketing materials).
• Create attractive layouts to enhance readability using design principles.
• Proofread and edit typeset materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
• Collaborate with authors to translate their vision into the final product.
• Manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.
