Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Texas.
• Minimum 8+ years of legal practice.
• Knowledge in three or more practice areas: Probate/Estate Planning; Real Estate; Business Transaction & Litigation; Family Law.
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation.
• Trial experience is required.
• Ability to meet a minimum of 60 billable hours bi-weekly (120+ hours per month).
• Strong ability to independently manage cases and deadlines.
• Ability to accept full-time employment after expiration of contract.
• Capability to go to court within Harris County and contiguous counties.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and federal court filings
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic case approaches
• Represent clients in state and federal court hearings, mediations, and trials
• Handle all phases of discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production
• Ensure compliance with federal and state procedural rules and court deadlines
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Provide case evaluations and legal recommendations
• Collaborate with internal team members, including case managers and support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely billing records to meet required billable hours
