A Dallas-based law firm is seeking a motivated litigation attorney to join their team. The candidate will engage in client representation across multiple counties, conduct legal research, and negotiate settlements. This role requires a J.D. degree, admission to the Texas State Bar, and at least 2 years of litigation experience. Duties:

- Work in the Dallas office, but handle litigation in multiple counties

- Litigate cases in court, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs

- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies

- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients

- Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings

- Attend depositions, hearings, and trials

• draft questions for depositions
• defend clients in depositions
• prepare arguments for hearings, pre-trial matters
• draft questions for trial witnesses
• draft pre-trial documents
• serve as first or second chair in trial

- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case

- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- Admission to the Texas State Bar Association for more than 2 years

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent research and analytical abilities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• manage daily tasks related to a litigation docket
• manage and oversee a litigation calendar

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Prior experience in litigation and negotiation is preferred
