Role Description

This is a full-time Associate Attorney role based in Houston, TX. The Associate Attorney will be immediately involved on the front lines in complex litigation matters in the financial services and securities, oil and gas, commercial real estate and health care industries, including trade secret and non-compete litigation, unfair competition, business defamation and tortious interference issues. The role includes advising clients on legal rights and obligations, participating in negotiations, and participating directly in litigation and arbitration proceedings. The position requires strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and effective communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Extensive litigation or arbitration experience.
• Ability to provide clear, practical advice to clients across a variety of matters.
• Proficient in legal Research, including use of online research tools and preparation of memoranda.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Texas, or eligibility for timely admission.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting pleadings, briefs, and client communications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High level of professional integrity, client-service orientation, and commitment to ongoing legal education.
