Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Family Resources and Eligibility Services seeks a Contract Specialist IV to oversee the contract lifecycle from procurement to closeout in a fast-paced environment. Based in Austin, you will manage procurement documents, monitor contract performance, and liaise between vendors and program staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; education may be substituted per policy.
• At least 1 year of direct experience administering, managing, or monitoring contracts.
• Experience drafting and editing contract-related correspondence, reports, or other substantive business documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive contract management for assigned contracts and develop procurement documents.
• Develop and maintain procedures related to procurement, contract amendments, renewals, and extensions.
• Review contracts, budgets, and invoices; monitor performance and compliance.
• Serve as liaison between vendors and program staff; coordinate procurement activities and closeout.
