Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an experienced Contract Specialist II to manage complex contract enrollment, maintenance, and monitoring for community care programs. The role involves negotiating contracts and amendments, and ensuring compliance with state rules and fiscal requirements.

The position supports internal and external stakeholders, with potential for telework and up to 80% travel.

Competenze

• Journey-level knowledge of contracting and procurement regulations and contract management.
• Knowledge of policy interpretation and regulations affecting contract enrollment, maintenance, and administration.
• Ability to interpret and apply program policies and procedures to improve contract operations.

Mansioni

• Identify service providers and monitor compliance with contract terms and regulations.
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts, renewals and amendments for community care programs; upload documents to repository.
• Monitor contract performance including billing, service delivery, and fiscal compliance; coordinate with SOAH when required.
• Provide guidance on contract administration policies to contractors and HHSC staff.
• Perform special projects/duties and assist with training materials for staff.
