Job summary

Air Reading is seeking a contract remote Reading Teacher to deliver structured, small-group online reading lessons via Zoom for elementary students. Sessions run 30–40 minutes with flexible hours from Monday to Friday. Compensation is up to $24/hour.

You will implement the Science of Reading curriculum, monitor student progress, and report results while maintaining an engaging virtual classroom to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Comfortable with Zoom and common digital learning tools.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, colleagues, and school partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, small-group online reading lessons via Zoom for up to four elementary students per session, with sessions typically lasting 30–40 minutes.
• Implement the provided curriculum and instructional materials, following detailed lesson steps and fidelity expectations based on structured literacy and the Science of Reading.
• Monitor, document, and communicate student progress consistently, using established assessment and reporting tools.
• Maintain an engaging, supportive, and orderly virtual learning environment that promotes student growth.
