Job summary

Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE) seeks a high‑caliber contract manager to own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of agreements, provide high‑level interpretation of labor regulations as they relate to independent contractors, and design compliant contract and governance frameworks.

This fully remote role requires reviewing high‑volume contracts, coordinating with outside counsel, supervising at least one staff member, and ensuring IRS guidelines and state labor codes are applied accurately

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in law or public administration.
• Significant experience in high-volume compliance or legal operations.
• Experience drafting and negotiating high-volume legal documents.
• Knowledge of worker classification, IRS guidelines, and DOL standards.

Responsibilities

• Streamline the contract lifecycle to reduce turnaround time for many contracts.
• Lead drafting, review, and execution of contracts and amendments.
• Collaborate with external counsel on complex agreements.
• Oversee at least one employee and provide coaching.
• Ensure IRS guidelines and contractor classifications across projects.
