Job summary

US Federal Solutions seeks a Contract Closeout Analyst to support a Department of Veterans Affairs client. This REMOTE role focuses on timely closeout of contracts, reconciling obligations and costs, preparing final invoices, and terminating subcontracts and purchase orders.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 3 years of contract closeout or financial analysis experience, and strong Excel skills, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in contract closeout or financial analysis.
• Knowledge of FAR as it applies to contracting and procurement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost and price analysis to determine final closeout costs for contracts.
• Review and update financial and administrative files to ensure closeouts comply with regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure all requirements/docs are submitted.
• Prepare and submit final invoices for closeout with proper coding and approvals.
• Review contract modifications and adjustments; ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure subcontracts and purchase orders are terminated and issues resolved.
• Ensure custody and disposition of government property per regulations.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
