Job summary

OCT Consulting LLC is a business management and technology consulting firm serving Federal Government clients. The Junior Closeout Specialist will focus on closing out contracts and grants in full compliance with FAR and relevant regulations, handling reconciliation, file uploads, and closeout documentation.

Role is primarily remote with at least two days per week at OCT's Tyson's Corner, VA office, and travel to the client's headquarters in Washington, D.C. as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of federal contract closeout experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Public Trust clearance (credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement checks).
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage closeout activities for contracts, cooperative agreements, and grants in compliance with FAR, 2 CFR, and agency policies.
• Reconcile award files in the Phoenix Financial System.
• Upload designated files into the Agency's Secure Image and Storage Tracking System.
• Prepare closeout documentation (checklists, release of claims).
• Identify expired files for destruction and provide process-improvement feedback.
