Job summary

University of Washington is seeking a Content and Digital Experience Director to shape UW Medicine’s digital hub uwmedicine.org and related channels. You will own content strategy, UX, and discoverability across the primary platform and connected digital ecosystems.

Leading a cross-functional team, you will design governance, implement GEO and structured data, set KPIs, and drive measurable improvements in patient acquisition and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years leading digital experience strategy teams.
• Experience shaping content strategy, UX, and discoverability across web and distributed channels.
• Strong knowledge of SEO/GEO and structured data.
• Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product, and IT.
• Experience with agile methodologies and staffing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and roadmap for content strategy and UX across uwmedicine.org and connected channels.
• Lead hub-and-spoke digital model with authoritative source of truth.
• Partner with marketing, content, reputation, social, and paid media teams.
• Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for digital experiences.
• Develop repeatable workflows and agile intake processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing UX/content team.
