Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Consultative Medical Coder to support clinicians by ensuring documentation supports coding. The role is predominantly remote, based in the Las Vegas area, with travel to clinics about one week per month.

Reports to the Manager, Medical Coding, and participates in education and QA initiatives. The position requires 3+ years of coding experience, RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC certification, and comfort with public speaking and virtual collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical Medical Coding experience or similar (IPA and Offshore coding management).
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC Certification.
• Must reside in the Las Vegas, NV area.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 1 week/month to assigned clinics.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Zoom/Teams.
• Must be comfortable presenting on camera and with public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with clinicians as the single contact for documentation and coding questions.
• Identify documentation improvement areas and partner on education for improvements.
• Perform Quality Assurance on post‑visit reviews.
• Manage special handling of Mergers & Acquisitions with cleanup and training.
• Collaborate with HEDIS leaders to identify gaps and deficiencies.
