Job summary

CenterWell is seeking a Consultative Medical Coder to support clinicians by ensuring documentation supports accurate coding. This primarily remote role requires residing in the Las Vegas area and occasional travel to clinics (about one week per month).

You will report to the Manager, Medical Coding, and collaborate with HEDIS teams to improve documentation and coding practices. Travel, training, and a performance-based bonus are part of the package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical Medical Coding experience or similar (including IPA and Offshore coding management).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Zoom/Teams.
• Must be comfortable presenting on camera and with public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with clinicians to serve as the single contact for questions and issues relating to documentation and coding.
• Identify documentation improvement areas and partner with clinical and coding education to deliver education related to improvement opportunities.
• Perform Quality Assurance on post-visit reviews.
• Manage the special handling of Mergers & Acquisitions by performing problem list cleanup and conducting process training on documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with HEDIS leaders and champions to identify HEDIS gaps and deficiencies.
