J29:7 is seeking a dynamic Construction Project Manager to join our multidisciplinary team. You will lead design, pre-construction, and construction activities, serve as Owner’s Representative, manage budgets, schedules, and communications with clients and city agencies.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of design, construction management and project leadership experience, plus familiarity with real estate proforma, financing incentives, and complex urban development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field;Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years in design, construction management, and direct project leadership.
• Experience with complex urban affordable housing, commercial retail space and mixed-use development.
• Understanding of real estate proforma, budgets, and financing incentives.
• Willingness to travel; preference for Chicago or SE Michigan location, remote OK.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients throughout projects to meet budget, schedule, and scope.
• Coordinate A/E and GC/CM solicitations and contract support.
• Manage schedules, permitting, and consultant RFPs.
• Lead design through schematic to construction documentation.
• Support value engineering to maintain budget.
• Represent the organization during construction and manage monthly draws.
• Coordinate communications with client, city agencies, and stakeholders.
• Review design amendments and change orders; support closeout and O&M handovers.
