Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee the building of new stores and special projects from inception to turnover. This remote role requires the candidate to be located in the Central US region and travel 50-75%.

The role involves negotiating construction terms with developers and architects, establishing schedules, managing bids, and ensuring quality across all phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 7+ years of multi-site construction management experience.
• Knowledge of construction disciplines (civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical) and ADA requirements.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% (approx. 45 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Participate in negotiation of construction activities to establish terms and schedules.
• Establish project schedules and adapt activities to meet delivery dates.
• Identify and qualify contractors for project use.
• Manage the GC bidding process through contract execution.
• Monitor criteria compliance and quality control during all construction phases.
• Coordinate information between BSRO and external contractors, architects, engineers, developers, landlords, and AHJs.
• Ensure timely review of documents during budgeting, entitlement, approvals, and construction.
• Review scope and budget impacts of outside contractor/architect/engineer activities.
• Act as BSRO representative to building departments when applicable.
• Organize construction meetings and site activities.
• Coordinate turnover of new stores to Store Opening and Operations teams.
• Support Facilities with warranty claims and repairs.
• Close out finances and documents with audit compliance.
