Job summary

Real Hires LLC is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator who can read plans, perform accurate takeoffs, and develop competitive bids. You will help price projects correctly, meet bid deadlines, and win more work, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to keep pricing organized and up-to-date.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, performing material and labor takeoffs, sending RFIs and RFPs, and estimating electrical/lighting work. Remote-friendly role with multi-project ownership.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating and quantity takeoffs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
• Experience preparing bids, estimates, and project pricing.
• Experience reviewing and comparing vendor quotes.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and lighting systems.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, drawings, and project specifications.
• Perform material and labor quantity takeoffs.
• Prepare accurate project estimates and competitive bids.
• Send RFPs to vendors and collect and compare quotes.
• Prepare RFIs when project details are missing or unclear.
• Estimate electrical and lighting work.
• Review plans for scope changes, missing details, and possible cost issues.
• Keep estimates, pricing, and project files organized and updated.
• Use STACK, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software.
• Work with vendors, clients, and internal teams to meet bid deadlines.
• Manage multiple estimates while keeping your work accurate and on schedule.
