Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer 2 to support EPC operation-related engineering concerns from start of construction through warranty. This fully remote role involves coordinating between operations and engineering, addressing RFIs, and ensuring SOLV EPC contract compliance.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–5 years of construction experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in CAD/GIS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent.
• Excellent written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for problem solving with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel.
• Exposure to CAD/GIS and proficiency in these and other engineering software.
• Ability to read and understand project drawings and specifications.
• Field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate open communication between operations and engineering partners to identify improvements.
• Serve as the point of contact for operations to present engineering concerns.
• Collaborate with SOLV Engineering, partners, and vendors to justify design methods and provide solutions.
• Assist operations with engineering-related construction RFIs during construction.
• Resolve RFIs and other operational concerns with urgency.
• Know project design requirements per SOLV EPC Contract, client requirements, and permits.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with site teams (Superintendents, Foremen, PMs).
• Ensure EPC Contract compliance and support operations accordingly.
• Direct implementation of autonomous pile driving systems to save material, labor, and schedule.
• Assist with engineering-intensive client interactions (client’s engineer).
• Guide project teams through design comments with consultants.
• Assist warranty team with manufacturer/design/installation responsibility.
• Develop and lead project-specific training on GPS-enabled pile drivers and tools.
• Support continuous construction monitoring using drone technology.
