Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer 2 to support EPC operations from start of construction through SOLV’s warranty period. This is a fully remote role with location details discussed at interview, and you will coordinate between operations and engineering to resolve design and RFI issues and ensure compliance with SOLV contracts.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 2–5 years of construction experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field.
2–5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent.
Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in CAD/GIS and related engineering software.
Ability to read and understand project drawings and specifications.
Willingness to work in field environments.

Responsibilities

Support engineering concerns across construction phase and operations.
Facilitate open communication between operations and engineering partners.
Be the POC for operations to present engineering concerns and communicate design methodology.
Assist with engineering RFI’s during construction.
Resolve RFIs and operations concerns with urgency.
Understand all SOLV Energy contractual and client requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with site teams.
Lead implementation of autonomous pile driving systems for efficiency.
Assist with engineering intensive client interactions and reviews.
Guide project teams through design comments with consultants.
Assist warranty team with manufacturer, design and installation issue confirmation.
Develop training for GPS-enabled pile drivers and internal tools.
Support continuous construction monitoring using drone technology.
