Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer 2 to support EPC operation related engineering concerns from start of construction through SOLV’s warranty period. This role is fully remote, with location details discussed during the interview process.

You will facilitate communication between operations and engineering, serve as the point of contact for engineering concerns, assist with RFIs, and help ensure compliance with SOLV EPC contracts while advancing training and drone-based monitoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent.
• Excellent written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Exposure to CAD/GIS and related engineering software.
• Ability to read project drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Qualified to perform all essential Construction Engineer responsibilities.
• Facilitate open communication between operations and engineering partners.
• Be the POC for operations to present engineering concerns and communicate design reasoning.
• Assist the operations team with engineering RFIs during construction.
• Resolve RFIs and other operations concerns with urgency.
• Understand all design requirements (SOLV energy, client/contract, permits).
• Develop and maintain relationships with site teams.
• Ensure knowledge of SOLV EPC Contract and compliance.
• Lead autonomous pile driving system implementations for cost savings.
• Assist with engineering-intensive client communications.
• Guide project teams through design comments with consultants.
• Support warranty with manufacturer/design/installation issue investigations.
• Develop and lead project-specific training on GPS-enabled pile drivers and tools.
• Support continuous construction monitoring using drone technology.
