Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a Construction Engineer 2 for a fully remote role. You will support EPC operations from construction start to warranty, coordinating between operations and engineering and guiding project teams.

The role emphasizes communication, RFIs, adherence to SOLV EPC contracts, and deploying advanced tools like GPS pile drivers and drone monitoring to improve safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field of study.
• 2-5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent.
• Excellent written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for problem solving, and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel
• Exposure in CAD/GIS and aptitude for proficiency in these and other engineering software
• Ability to read and understand project drawings, and specifications
• Field experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support EPC operation related engineering concerns from start of construction to warranty period.
• Facilitate open communication between operations and engineering partners.
• Serve as POC for operations to present engineering concerns and communicate design reasoning.
• Assist with engineering-related RFIs during the construction phase.
• Resolve RFIs and other operations concerns with urgency.
• Understand SOLV Energy design requirements and permits.
• Build relationships with site teams and project management.
• Ensure compliance with the SOLV EPC Contract.
• Oversee implementation of autonomous pile driving systems for efficiency.
• Support engineering discussions with client engineers and consultants.
• Lead project-specific trainings for field teams on GPS-enabled tools.
• Support continuous construction monitoring using drone technology.
