Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide. The Construction Engineer 2 will support EPC operation related engineering concerns from start of construction through SOLV’s warranty period.

This role is fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 2–5 years of construction-related experience.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Exposure to CAD/GIS and related engineering software.
• Ability to read project drawings and specifications.
• Field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform essential construction engineer duties.
• Facilitate open communication between operations and engineering partners.
• Be the point of contact for operations to present engineering concerns.
• Assist with engineering RFIs during construction.
• Resolve RFIs and other operations issues with urgency.
• Understand SOLV and client design requirements and permits.
• Maintain relationships with site teams and ensure EPC contract compliance.
• Lead the use of autonomous pile driving and related software/tools.
• Support clients and engineers in design comments with consultants.
• Assist warranty team with responsibility confirmations and installation quality.
• Develop project-specific training on GPS-enabled pile drivers and internal tools.
• Support continuous construction monitoring using drone technology.
