Job summary

Syscon, Inc. is seeking a Construction Client Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for multiple construction clients using Sage 100 Contractor, handling payroll, job costing, WIP, billing, reconciliations, and month-end close.

This remote role offers ownership of client work with strong support from a team skilled in construction accounting and technology; you’ll communicate with clients and maintain an audit-ready ledger across projects.

Qualifications

• Recent, hands-on Sage 100 Contractor experience is required.
• Experience with WIP, job costing, payroll, progress billing, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple construction clients
• Personally process payroll directly in Sage 100 Contractor, including payroll taxes and filings
• Perform bank reconciliations, sales tax filings, month-end close, and billing support
• Prepare and maintain job costing and WIP
• Support progress billing, AP, AR, audit, and year-end accounting needs
• Work directly in Sage 100 Contractor supporting ongoing client accounting workflows
• Maintain accurate records and a clean audit trail across client work
• Identify and resolve accounting issues independently when possible
• Manage multiple client deadlines and competing priorities
• Communicate clearly with clients and follow through on commitments
