Job summary

Syscon is hiring a Remote Construction Client Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting for multiple construction clients, with hands-on payroll and full payroll tax responsibilities. You will support bank reconciliations, month-end close, billing, and audit readiness within Sage 100 Contractor or comparable systems.

The ideal candidate has strong construction accounting depth, payroll experience, and the ability to manage several client relationships independently while maintaining accuracy

Qualifications

• Construction accounting experience required.
• Hands-on payroll experience, including taxes and filings.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, progress billing, AP/AR, and month-end close.
• Ability to manage multiple clients independently with ownership.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of construction clients.
• Process payroll, including payroll taxes and filings.
• Perform bank reconciliations, sales tax filings, month-end close, billing support, and audit/year-end support.
• Support job costing, WIP, progress billing, AP/AR, and related construction accounting needs.
• Support clients with ongoing accounting needs and Sage 100 Contractor workflows.
• Maintain accurate records and a clean audit trail across all client work.
