Job summary

Syscon Inc. is seeking a Construction Client Accountant to support multiple construction clients remotely. The role involves hands-on accounting, payroll, and Sage 100 Contractor workflows, with a focus on accuracy and client service.

You will manage payroll, reconciliations, billing, and job costing, ensuring a clean audit trail across client work while maintaining strong relationships with clients in a high-autonomy environment.

Qualifications

• Strong construction accounting experience.
• Hands-on payroll experience, including payroll taxes and filings.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of construction clients.
• Personally process payroll, including payroll taxes and filings.
• Perform bank reconciliations, sales tax filings, month-end close, billing support, and routine audit/year-end support.
• Support job costing, WIP, progress billing, AP/AR, and related construction accounting needs.
• Support clients with ongoing accounting needs and day-to-day Sage 100 Contractor accounting workflows.
• Maintain accurate records and a clean audit trail across all client work.
