Permanent Placements LLC is assisting a leading Am Law client in hiring a Conflicts Attorney for the Risk Management and Conflicts team. This position offers substantial remote work flexibility with occasional in-office attendance and emphasizes professional responsibility, conflicts analysis, and law firm risk management.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the United States.
• Experience as a practicing attorney and/or conflicts attorney in a law firm environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal ethics and professional responsibility rules.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex conflicts issues clearly and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest for new clients, matters, and hires.
• Maintain and apply ABA Model Rules and jurisdiction ethics rules.
• Research domestic and international professional responsibility requirements.
• Draft, review, and coordinate conflict waivers, ethical wall documentation, and risk materials.
• Develop conflict search strategies and analyze conflict reports.
• Coordinate with attorneys, compliance professionals, and leadership on conflicts.
• Review lateral hire conflict analyses and assist with conflict resolution for incoming attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written guidance on conflicts and professional responsibility.
• Assist with attorney and staff training on conflicts procedures and firm policies.
• Support departmental projects and risk management initiatives.
