Job summary

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join our Conflicts team in a role supporting ethical screening and client/matter analysis. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a law firm conflicts function and familiarity with Intapp or similar software.

The analyst will develop search strategies, prepare reports, and collaborate with the Conflicts Counsel to resolve potential conflicts for new business and lateral matters. Remote-hours flexibility may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years in a law firm conflicts department.
• Knowledge of professional responsibility and ethics rules.
• Experience with lateral conflicts is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Define search strategies and conduct conflicts searches for new business and lateral matters.
• Analyze and communicate search results to attorneys; identify conflicts and resolutions.
• Perform corporate research to determine affiliations and relationships.
• Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel and team to aid in conflicts resolution.
• Draft engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums.
• Review and clean up firm’s client/matter information and conflicts database.
• Provide excellent service to legal staff and attorneys.
• Willingness to work remotely outside normal business hours as needed.
