Job summary

PingWind is seeking a Configuration Management & Documentation Specialist/Tech Writer to join our team supporting a large Federal Government client. Provide configuration management, change management, and technical documentation expertise to maintain accurate, controlled, and traceable technical information throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include identifying, controlling, recording, auditing, and reporting the status of configuration items.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in IT field.
Minimum 5 years IT experience with at least 3 in CM/Tech Editing.
Ability to obtain VA background investigation.
Experience with ITSM and centralized CMDBs.

Responsibilities

Identify, control, record, audit, and report the status of configuration items.
Maintain records for hardware, software, system configurations, documentation, and deliverables.
Develop and update technical processes, configuration standards, baselines, and procedures.
Support change-control processes and maintain associated documentation and traceability.
Maintain and support centralized CMDB information in accordance with ITSM practices.
Coordinate configuration management activities across technical and project teams.
Perform documentation reviews and quality-control activities to ensure accurate technical artifacts.
