9th Way Insignia is seeking a Configuration Manager and Documentation Specialist / Tech Writer to support federal cybersecurity programs. The role focuses on documenting configurations, change management, and knowledge management across the system lifecycle, collaborating with cybersecurity architects, engineers, and government stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years IT experience (3+ in CM/tech editing), a related Master’s degree, and experience with CMDB and ITSM/ITIL protocols.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience, 3+ years in configuration management or technical editing.
• Master’s degree in related IT field; substitutions may apply.
• Expertise with ITSM frameworks (ITIL) and centralized CMDB.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, publish technical documentation for cybersecurity architecture and operations.
• Maintain CMDB and ensure configuration baselines are current.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and SMEs to reflect solutions in docs.
• Ensure documents meet government templates, 508 accessibility, and version control.
