Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Configuration & Data Manager (CMDM) to support a DoD Platform-as-a-Service capability. You will handle configuration control, data governance, and cross-team coordination in a cloud-native environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and mission success.

The role emphasizes leadership, governance, and collaboration with engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, and operations. Remote full-time work is accepted; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship at time of application.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in configuration/data management.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of DoD DoD/federally regulated environments.
• Familiar with cloud and DevSecOps concepts and data governance.
• Experience supporting DoD acquisition or sustainment programs.
• Experience working with engineering, logistics, or lifecycle processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and Mattermost.
• Ability to work a full-time remote position.

Responsibilities

• Track, document, and control baselines, data artifacts, and changes.
• Maintain the Configuration and Data Management Plan per DoD standards.
• Oversee change boards and audit readiness.
• Ensure traceability across lifecycle of items and data.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to meet configuration/data requirements.
• Support integration across cloud, apps, and data lakes.
• Be a main contact for stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
• Review workflows to improve accuracy and compliance.
• Support hardware/software tracking for assets and readiness.
• Contribute to policies and guidance across teams.
• Support data management hierarchy framework.
