Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Configuration & Data Manager to support a DoD Platform as a Service.

The role emphasizes disciplined configuration control, data governance, and cross-team collaboration to ensure mission success and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations to manage baselines, artifacts, and changes, while aligning with EIA-649, MIL-STD-973, and NIST SP 800-53.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship at time of application.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in configuration / data management.
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Information Systems, Business, Leadership, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management principles in DoD or federally regulated environments.
• Familiarity with cloud and DevSecOps concepts and data governance implications.
• Experience supporting DoD acquisition or software-intensive systems.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, logistics, operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the configuration and data management team to track baselines and change processes.
• Maintain and execute the CM/DM Plan per DoD standards (e.g., EIA-649, MIL-STD-973, NIST SP 800-53).
• Oversee configuration control processes including CCBs, CMBs, RMBs, and audit readiness.
• Track status of configuration items and data artifacts across systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to capture and meet CM/DM requirements.
• Support integration across cloud infrastructure, applications, and data lakes.
• Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders and ensure alignment with objectives.
• Review workflows to improve efficiency and compliance with DoD policies.
