Job summary

The Wendy's Company is seeking an entry-level software developer to assist in developing, deploying, and maintaining configuration management for Restaurant POS systems. You will work remotely with some travel to the Dublin, OH area to collaborate with the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center and other locations as needed.

Ideal candidates have a CS degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in system design and scripting (PowerShell, Ruby, Bash), and familiarity with log aggregation tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in system design and development, using scripting (Powershell / Ruby / BASH).
• Knowledge of Log Aggregation tools (Splunk, Looker, Elk).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Curiosity-driven with a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software ensuring high system availability.
• Work independently with supervision; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Contribute to monitoring and problem determination processes and take corrective actions.
• Develop detailed task estimates and provide status updates to management.
• Guide other IT staff in usage of systems and mentor junior developers.
