Job summary

Caliza is hiring a Compliance Onboarding Analyst to manage real-time onboarding for new customers and partners. You will lead document review (KYB/KYC), conduct sanctions and adverse media screening, and escalate high-risk cases while coordinating with the Compliance Manager and other teams.

You will build procedures and maintain roll-forward guidance, ensuring timely, documentation-rich decisions and clear examiner responses across cross-border accounts.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in KYC, KYB, or customer onboarding at a fintech, payments company, money services business, crypto business, or bank.

Responsibilities

• Own real-time customer onboarding. Review new applications as they arrive, chase missing information, and follow up with customers and partners until each file is complete.
• Own document review for onboarded customers, including KYB and KYC: corporate documents, beneficial ownership, IDs, proof of address, source of funds and wealth, licences, and business activity, checked against risk-based requirements.
• Run sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening, and work through potential matches.
• Run daily onboarding triage, investigation workflow, and disposition tracking. Assign risk ratings, document your rationale, and elevate high-risk or enhanced due diligence cases to the Compliance Manager.
• Support periodic reviews and refresh files when customer information changes or triggers fire.
• Build and document onboarding procedures, checklists, and decision guides, and keep them current as products and corridors change.
• Act as the primary point of contact for onboarding-related inquiries from examiners and correspondent banks. Pull customer files, answer due diligence questions, and prepare evidence, in coordination with the Compliance Manager.
• Track onboarding metrics, such as turnaround time, backlog, approval and decline rates, and outstanding requests, and flag bottlenecks.
