Job summary

The Hartford is hiring a Staff Attorney for its Complex Litigation Team. This remote, in-house role supports Hartford insureds across product, liability, premises, auto, and construction matters from home with occasional in-person appearances as needed.

You will analyze complex issues, conduct extensive research, draft motions, manage exhibits, coordinate with experts, and assist with depositions and trial prep, communicating effectively with senior attorneys throughout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of legal practice handling tort defense matters.
• JD from an accredited law school and active California license.
• Domicile in CA and ability to appear in CA state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze substantive and procedural legal issues.
• Conduct extensive legal research and draft pleadings and motions.
• Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients, counsel, and experts; coordinate with senior attorneys.
