Job summary

The Biomimicry Institute seeks a Manager, Community to drive the delivery of membership, learning, and community engagement projects. You’ll translate priorities into detailed work plans, manage timelines, and coordinate internal and external contributors to deliver meaningful value for participants.

Responsibilities span onboarding, events, courses, and learning programs, with a focus on high-quality experiences, revenue goals, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional background required.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible work in membership, community programs, adult learning, events, professional networks, or related fields.
• Background in adult learning and instructional design, including developing or improving courses, workshops, or other learning experiences.
• Background coordinating participant experiences involving facilitators, speakers, partners, volunteers, and other contributors.
• Track record using participation, engagement, member feedback, and program data to improve delivery and participant value.
• Familiarity with membership and community platforms, learning management systems, virtual engagement tools, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned membership and community projects against clear objectives, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and participation goals.
• Translate defined projects into detailed work plans with milestones, responsibilities, communications, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate onboarding, member benefits, events, working groups, peer exchange, and other engagement activities for a consistent participant experience.
• Coordinate facilitators, contractors, volunteers, partners, and internal contributors, ensuring clear ownership and deadlines.
• Monitor progress, surface risks, and communicate needs early to keep projects on track.
• Implement member engagement and activation approaches and track their effectiveness.
• Deliver learning programs (courses, workshops, guided practice) meeting participation, quality, outcomes, timelines, budgets, and revenue goals.
• Translate learning projects into work plans and coordinate facilitators, registration, platforms, materials, delivery, and follow-up.
• Ensure high-quality learning experiences and address operational problems promptly.
• Coordinate with Inspiration to integrate AskNature resources into learning experiences.
• Track participation, completion, satisfaction, learning outcomes, revenue, and use results to improve future delivery.
