Job summary

MasterClass is seeking a seasoned Community Manager to own the experience for our cohort-based programs, starting with MasterClass Executive. You will craft a high-touch, engaging journey that connects learners from onboarding through alumni life and scale it with centralized processes.

You will weave strategy with daily execution, working cross-functionally to turn feedback into improvements and to grow an active, vibrant community across multiple programs and formats.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in community management or learner/member experience.
• Proven ability to grow and engage an online community.
• Exceptional written communication for a professional audience.
• Hands-on experience with Circle, Slack, Discord, Discourse or Mighty Networks.

Responsibilities

• Own the community experience for MasterClass Executive and Certificates cohorts end-to-end.
• Set the community strategy, rituals, programming and connections for each cohort.
• Serve as the daily voice of the community, facilitating conversations and onboarding new learners.
• Monitor engagement, sentiment and retention; re-engage at-risk learners.
• Build and manage community platforms, playbooks, templates, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Identify learner leaders, mentors and alumni advocates to strengthen the community.
• Partner with Events to drive attendance and sustain momentum after live sessions.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Program, and Support to implement feedback.
