Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Community Advocate to champion the needs of individuals and communities across the Northern Cape, with a focus on Upington. This fully remote role leverages digital tools to engage, inform, and empower community members, driving access to resources and services from a location of your choice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Community Development, or a related field.
• Proven advocacy or community organizing experience.
• Strong remote communication and digital collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify community needs and barriers through online research, virtual consultations, and remote outreach.
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to address systemic issues affecting communities.
• Connect community members with relevant social services, governmental programs, and non-profit organizations.
• Provide information and support to individuals and groups regarding their rights and available resources.
• Organize and facilitate virtual town halls, workshops, and information sessions.
• Maintain detailed records of advocacy efforts, client interactions, and outcomes in a digital system.
